The questions GMs, boards, and members bring to the first call, in writing, before you have to ask.

Is real-money golf competition appropriate for a private club?
It has been happening at private clubs for a century, in cash, in notebooks, and in “I’ll get you next weekend.” Club1 gives that tradition modern rails: entries held in escrow by a licensed money transmitter, settlement computed on the server to the cent, flat published fees, and a full audit trail. Nothing about the game changes; everything about how the money is handled does. We review the compliance posture with every club during onboarding.
Do we have to replace our current systems on day one?
No. Club1 turns on module by module and runs alongside what you have for as long as you need it. Many clubs start with the tee sheet and the games, then expand at their own pace. Nothing is torn out on day one.
What does Club1 cost the club?
The club chooses. On the Club-Funded plan, one flat monthly fee covers the whole platform, every module, unlimited staff seats and terminals, with no implementation fee, and members pay nothing on core operations. On the Member-Funded plan the club pays nothing and members pay small flat fees when they use it. On either plan Club1 earns a published revenue share on gaming alongside the club, which earns on every game played. The numbers are part of the walkthrough.
What do members pay?
Flat fees, posted in the app, shown before anything is confirmed. On the Club-Funded plan members pay nothing on core operations and a flat fee only when they play for money; on Member-Funded, a small flat fee per use. Never a percentage of a prize pool, a check, or a statement. Club1 takes no share of any prize pool.
Can we use Club1 without the gaming?
Yes. Every module stands alone, dining, billing, tee sheet, racquets, lodging, spa, communications. Gaming is the module that pays the club, which is why most clubs turn it on, but nothing requires it.
How long does it take to go live?
The first modules can be live quickly, the pace is set by your club, not by us. Your Club Concierge configures the platform to the club’s rules, trains staff on the floor, and stages the rollout so nothing disrupts service. The walkthrough includes a specific plan for your operation.
Where does member money actually live?
In accounts maintained for members’ benefit by a licensed money transmitter, our regulated custody partner, funded by Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a linked bank. When a game starts, entries move to escrow with that partner until the game settles. Neither club staff nor Club1 holds member funds: Club1 keeps the ledger and computes settlement, the licensed partner holds and moves the money, and every movement is on an append-only ledger.
Who owns the club’s data?
The club. Every club’s data is isolated to that club, member DMs are unreadable by staff and by us as a matter of architecture, and member data is never sold or used for advertising.
Who supports our staff after launch?
A dedicated Club Concierge, one person who ran your onboarding, knows your operation, and remains your point of contact. Founding clubs are onboarded personally.
What kind of clubs is Club1 for?
Private clubs. Golf is the front door for most, but the platform is modular, a racquets-led or dining-led club runs just as well. If your club has members, a calendar, and a ledger, Club1 was built for it.
